On your wedding day, assemble a cosmetics bag of emergency wedding makeup items to help keep you picture perfect throughout the ceremony and reception.

These items should include:

  • Lip gloss in your favorite shade
  • Lip balm for chapping
  • Travel-size toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Hair spray to tame stray hairs
  • Waterproof mascara
  • Blotting papers for excess shine
  • Nail file and clear nail polish to repair broken or chipped nails
  • Deodorant
  • Hair pins to keep updos in place
  • Breath mints
  • Safety pins
  • Tampons or panty liners
  • Eye drops
  • Pocket-size tissues
  • Pain reliever medication (Advil, Aleve, etc.)
  • Bottled water to stay hydrated
  • Hand sanitizer or pre-moistened wipes
  • Bandages
  • Purse-size perfume

As a tip, ask one of your bridesmaids to keep up with your wedding day beauty bag and have her assist with touch ups as needed. You've worked long and hard with wedding planning to look your best on this day. Keeping a stash of quick-fix beauty goods will help avert any crisis that may arise
